Sunday Morning Biscuits and Gravy

Screen Shot 2015-03-29 at 9.10.35 AM If the Boston Bruins want to make a serious run to make the playoffs, they need to watch the replay of yesterdays 1st period against the New York Rangers. Thats the best hockey they've played in the last couple of weeks, they dominated all 3 zones and lit up Henrik Lundqvist in his first game back since missing 25 games after getting hit in the neck with a puck. The Rangers managed to remain in 1st place in the Eastern Conference with the absence of Lundqvist but he definitely looked rusty in his return and most likely left Boston with a bruised ego too.. Screen Shot 2015-03-29 at 9.46.08 AM Perhaps this Bruins team wasn't built for regular season hockey this year, but they are built for the playoffs. If they can manage to find a way to get into the playoffs, they will be a force. New York better hope they don't draw the Bruins in the first round because seeding means nothing and we can give them fits. Montreal is probably the only team I think we do not match up very well against, any other team, we can handle, especially the other remaining teams at the top in the Eastern Conference. Tuukka Rask left yesterdays game :10 seconds in to the second period. I was at the game and no one knew what the hell was going on. At first everyone thought he tweaked something, but apparently he left the game with dehydration (The second Boston athlete this week with dehydration issues - David Ortiz). With the amount of fluids readily available both on the ice and off the ice especially for a goalie, it sort of baffles me how he could become dehydrated.  Niklas Svedberg came in the game in the 2nd period and played an ok game, he gave up 2 goals on 16 shots in the eventual 4-2 Bruins win.

Tuuka was reported as being enough ok to make the flight today to Carolina for today’s game, I expect him to start tonight against the Hurricanes.  We need Tuukka in these games to give us any chance going forward. After tonights back to back game, the Bruins game days off after each game to finish the season. The Bruins have to win this game, especially against a struggling Carolina game. Every game here on out is a must win game.

Jesus H Fuck Tommy don’t freaking scare New England like this. I was ok with your kids burying you up to your neck in sand, but don’t jump off a dam cliff on vacation!! This isn’t against his contract or anything??!?!?

Brady then left Costa Rica and apparently went to the Bahamas to play a little pick up basketball with Michael Jordan and PGA Tour golfer Keegan Bradley. One hell of a team, Jordan and Brady…

Hey Keegan, you might want to put a hand in Brady’s face before he shoots another 3 in your grill…..

When Doc Rivers was coach of the Celtics, getting into the playoffs was never really a problem. His only missed playoff years were one in which Paul Pierce was injured (2005) and 2006.  He returns back to Boston tonight when the Clippers face a Celtics team that finds themselves in a very similar situation as the Bruins. The Celtics are clinging to playoff life with the 8th seed, but they face a complete log jam for the final playoff berth spots.

Teams like this are deadly going into the playoffs, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. All these young guys getting playoff experience is just a bonus. Of the remaining 5 teams fighting for the last 2 playoff spots, the Celtics actually have the easiest schedule to finish the season. Doc has won all 3 games he’s coached against his former team but the Celtics need this game tonight!

Everyone saw this coming but Clay Buccholz was name the Red Sox opening day starter

Thats it for today!
