Tonight the 4-2 Patriots take on the 1-5 New York Jets at a soggy Gillette Stadium. This has the feeling to be a game that can either be a blowout Patriots win or a really tough game. Rex Ryan has a foot out the door and can be fired any week now, will that motivate them or not is to be unknown. With the threat of rain all night, this certainly plays into the running game and its unfortunate that Ridley is out for the season, but I think we can still win this game on the ground. The Patriots have been practicing all week using wet footballs so they should be prepared. If the Jets have a good running game tonight, that’s the only thing that will keep this game close, because Geno Smith sucks even when the weather is perfect, so he will be a non factor. Also Darrelle Revis will be playing with a little bit of a chip in his shoulder tonight playing against his old team. Rumor has it that he will be incorporated into the offense tonight possibly as well.. The Jets always play with a little something extra against us so it should be an interesting game tonight.
