Take a look at this article from Complex.com, by Debbie Encalada, that was featured on Yahoo’s front page. The headline reads, “Joe Biden Is “100 Percent” Running for President Says Biden Advisor“. It’s official!
JOE BIDEN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!
This is big news!!! But is it? Or is this just hopeful speculation, a mere attempt for a journalist to throw the proverbial spaghetti against the wall and hope that it something “sticks”.
Part of the problem here is that this is lazy journalism and the other part of the problem is that people today allow it to happen. Many people skim the headlines for information and skip the content of the article. If you are one of the people that read the mentioned article, here is the catch.
“Sources told the National Review that they overheard a conversation Josh Alcorn, an advisor and confidant of Beau’s and fundraiser for the Draft Biden super PAC (raising money for a Biden presidential run), was having on a phone while on an Amtrak ride from New York to Wilmington, Delaware in the café car yesterday.”
So.. let me get this straight. Your entire declaration of Joe Biden’s intent is based upon “sources” that told you that they “overheard” a conversation someone was having on their phone while on the train. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What kind of lazy bulls**t is this? It’s frustrating, that’s what it is.
I was going to do a more thorough skewering that would show multiple examples of this, but you all get the point. Plus, why work hard for an article when you can be more successful being lazy.
UPDATE: Help us call her out on this.
